The extreme heat and rain hasn’t made this the best summer for visiting Burnside Farms in Nokesville to roam through their gorgeous sunflower fields, but the weather is looking promising for what might be the last weekend to visit in 2021.
The sunflower fields are open Monday through Thursday, from 4pm until dark, and Friday through Sunday from 9am until dark – weather dependent. Advanced tickets are available on Burnside Farm’s website (see below). Daytime tickets cost $14 for adults (11 and up) which includes 3 pick your own sunflower stems. Children’s tickets (ages 2 – 10) are available for $10 and includes one pick your own sunflower stem. Sunset (4-8pm) tickets are $16 for adults and $12 for children and also include pick your own sunflower stems – 3 for adults and 1 for children. Children under 2 are always free. Additional sunflowers may be purchased for $1.50 each. Tickets are available at the gate this year, but for a slightly higher cost.
In addition to access to the sunflower fields, visitors can enjoy the large jump pad, bubble stations, chalkboard message signs for photos, a kids clubhouse play area, a short cinema theater, and a shaded picnic area. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the farm as well.
